Active Devon will soon be offering Free online training for Devon Connect & Joy!
In collaboration with Devon Voluntary Action and Joy, Active Devon will be providing an introduction to these two platforms, which are both being used within communities and health teams in Devon. The training will demonstrate how to add activities, events and volunteering opportunities.
The training session is open to any club, community group, organisation or individual that provides physical activity opportunities in Devon. As Devon Connect is not currently available in Plymouth, a separate session for Plymouth providers will be offered later in the year.
The training session will take place on Thursday 22nd June, 12-1pm. If you are interested in attending the session please email training@activedevon.org. This session will be recorded; if you cannot attend the training but would like to receive the recording after please email training@activedevon.org.
More Information About Devon Connect and Joy:
Devon Connect is an online community hub ran by Devon Voluntary Action, its partners, Torbay Community Development Trust and Exeter Connect for residents and communities across Devon to make connections, share knowledge and resources and provide comprehensive what’s on listings. The platform is a free community resource. To learn more about Devon Connect click here.
Devon Connect is linked to Joy, a platform which helps give social prescribers and other health and personalised care roles the tools to signpost patients to services that can improve their health and wellbeing. Each time you post an event or community listing on Devon Connect this activity can be shared with the Joy Marketplace. The Joy Marketplace is then used by social prescribers and other health and personalised care roles to signpost patients to local services and activities that could improve their health outcomes.
